Each week I feature my Top 5 Hits from the web.  Enjoy!

How cute is this? Kalleen @ At Second Street: a creative blog re-purposed a woman’s skirt to create this frilly jumper . School Attire-Part Six will make you think twice about how you can use old and make it new and fantastic!

#2

So pretty and practical, bright pinwheel quilted coasters, a From Start to Finish project by Juliette @ chickpea sewing studio. Follow her link to a nifty tutorial. I think these offer close to “instant gratification,” use stash fabrics or charm packs well, and would make perfect holiday gifts that are easy to mail.

No money for an expensive “green-house window” to display collectibles and plants? I’m a big fan of brazen Brittany who is not afraid to tackle anything! If you’d like to add a lot of charm to an otherwise plain window, check out her plans, DIY Glass Window Shelves. They are easy to remove for a good cleaning and offer sunlight for her African Violets. You’ll find many fabulous projects at Pretty Handy Girl.

Get all wrapped up and ready for Halloween with Yummy Mummy Cookies. Erin @ Making Memories…One Fun Thing After Another enjoys baking adorable cookies with her kids. These are so cute and easy for all to help with making fun memories for sure!

Kaffe fabrics, vivid color, pattern and machine quilting marry, creating this amazingly “easy” quilt. Michelle @ Rosebud Quilting whipped up her Rainbow Zig Zag Quilt. The pattern is available at her Etsy store along with more beautiful pix.
Have an inspired weekend all!

Hey girl, Great Friday! And didn’t you have links over on your sidebar to the various linky parties going on during the week? Ah! I miss them! I would come here and hop over to them. boo hoo.

I miss the buttons too, but I was getting a lot of flack from some of those that host link parties. They want their link right under your post, so I finally complied! No more cute little side-bar button, but all the same links are there, just under each post I link up too. Boo-hoo is right!!!! AND it was better advertisement for them too ;(

All those ideas are really great. I especially love the glass shelves because that’s a great way to use wasted space. And the quilt. My Great Aunt quilts, so I learned how to appreciate the work that goes into making those!
