Kicked-Up Hanger Steak
 
 
Here's a rub that will create the most delicious crunchy crust on your grilled steak. I like to serve it with guacamole and corn tortillas. Enjoy!
Serves: ¼ cup rub mix
Ingredients
  • 2 Tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
  1. First, preheat your grill to high heat.
  2. Mix all the spice ingredients together,
  3. Add garlic, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce, and combine well.
  4. Press rub evenly over all sides of 1-1/2 pounds of hanger steak.
  5. Just before placing meat on the grill, turn it to medium heat.
  6. Sear your steak for 5 minutes on each side.
  7. Now turn the heat setting to low and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes per side.
