Combine peppermint candy canes, sugar, and water for the prettiest pink Candy Cane Simple Syrup. You'll want to add to your favorite beverages and pour it over your favorite desserts!

Basic Candy Cane Simple Syrup:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes
Rich Candy Cane Syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes
  1. In a small saucepan combine sugar, water, and crushed candy canes and cook over medium heat until candy canes and sugar are completely dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  3. Store in a closed bottle in the refrigerator for 1 to 6 months.
If you'd like a thicker syrup, just simmer it till it coats a spoon. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
