Recipe type: Entree
Cuisine: American
Serves: 20
Ingredients
  • 1 (8-10 pound) Fully Cooked Spiral Slice Half Ham
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup whole grain mustard, dijon, or honey mustard
  • 1 cup peach fruit spread, (apricot or pineapple is good too)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • heavy duty foil to wrap ham
Instructions
  1. Begin by combining peach preserves, honey, brown sugar, and mustard, in a mixing bowl.
  2. Remove ham from packaging and discard plastic disk covering bone.
  3. With a basting brush, lift each slice of ham and brush with the sauce. Brush more sauce all over the outside of the ham too, using about half of the sauce.
  4. Place ham flat side down on a large sheet of foil. Transfer wrapped ham to large roasting pan and let stand at room temperature for ½ hour.
  5. Adjust oven rack to lowest position and heat oven to 300˚ degrees.
  6. Bake Honey Mustard Brown Sugar Ham until internal temperature registers 100˚ degrees, 1½ to 2½ hours. Loosen the foil and use an instant read thermometer to easily get a reading.
  7. Remove ham from oven and unwrap. Increase oven temperature to 425˚ degrees. Using a basting brush, paint ham with glaze.
  8. Return to oven and bake until dark brown and caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  9. Transfer ham to cutting board, loosely tent with foil, and let rest 15 minutes.
  10. Following step-by-step directions (that came with your ham), carve ham.
  11. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Depending on the size of your ham, bake for 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 hours until internal temperature reaches 100 degrees.
