At least 1 1\/2 hours before serving, make a simple marinade for your salmon steaks (or fillet).  Cover your salmon and tuck in the fridge for at least 1 hour…I do it early in the day 5 to 6 hours ahead, cause I like lots of flavor…<\/span><\/div>\n

Chop fresh cilantro.  Dice cucumber and red onion…<\/span><\/div>\n

Add it to diced pineapple, fresh is heavenly, canned works…now add the juice of 1 lime…<\/span><\/div>\n

Peel and pit an avocado.  Dice it small…<\/span><\/div>\n

Carefully give it a gentle toss, cover and chill.<\/span><\/div>\n

Preheat your grill about 20 minutes before you’d like to eat.  We like to use a grill basket for all fish that we grill.  Also, every grill can be different.  My guy grilled our salmon steaks over low heat for 6-7 minutes per side.  Be careful not to over cook it.  It cooks quickly, so watch it…you can always “throw it back!”<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n

Serve with a little steamed or grilled corn and watermelon stars.  It’s so amazingly easy, tasty, summery lite.<\/span><\/div>\n
