Firecracker Burgers

Fire up the grill and get your party started with a Sis-Boom-Bang!  You can plan on Firecracker Burgers to pack some heat.
Your mouth will POP with the cast of characters.
For each pound of ground beef plan on 4 quarter-pound burgers. Add chopped chilies, beef instant bouillon, and cayenne pepper.
Grill each patty for approximately 10 minutes for each side.  My guy likes to cook it on low heat setting so that it cooks just barely, all the way through.  We like our meat cooked “medium,” just barely pink in the middle.  Adjust that time according to your grill and how you like your meat cooked.
Along with the patty this is the star of the show, such yummy cheese on these burgers!
I grill my buns, lightly butter and grill over medium heat for just a couple minutes.  We actually like our buns crunchy and warm and grill on both sides.
Add a little mayo, tomato, red onion, and avocado slices, cheese, romaine leaf and Wayne’s Barbecue Sauce. You can also add all the traditional burger toppings, dill pickle, tomato slices, mustard, mayo and ketchup.
Add a fabulous little pick (got mine at Pier 1) and serve with love!
Firecracker Burgers
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies, drained
  • 1 tsp. beef flavor instant bouillon
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne (red) pepper
  • Red onion slices
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno peppers
  • sliced avacado
  • sliced tomato
  • romaine leaf
  • Wayne’s Barbecue Sauce

Combine meat, chilies, bouillon and cayenne pepper.  Shape into 4 patties.  Grill approximately 10 minutes per side over low heat on grill.  Put on grilled buns with cheese slice.  Add a little mayonnaise, red onion slices, avocado, tomato slices, romaine leaf and barbecue sauce.  Add a decorative pick and enjoy!

YUMMY!!!! Could the burgers look any better???

Love the recipe, love the spicy flavor. I usually only buy Tillamook cheeses and their yogurts are the best. Living in Oregon I’m so happy for quality and supporting our local economy.

You always make me so hungry. Your posts are awesome. I am glad I don’t live near you or I would be at your house daily begging for food and I would have to buy all new clothes because I wouldn’t be able to stop eating.
