Cheers!

St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday that is celebrated differently in each household. To some it is green pancakes for breakfast and to others it is an all-day party!
I probably will never party all night long but, to me, one of my favorite parts of St. Patrick’s Day is to watch how the rest of the world chooses to celebrate and to get INSPIRED!
That is how the Great Leprechaun Trap of ’09 came to be…and how it failed miserably.
But that one failure hasn’t stopped me from gathering ideas. Now whose household celebrates it the best–that is for you to choose! Here are some of my favorite ideas!

These cupcakes are the perfect way to find the way to the end of the rainbow!
This is my favorite St. Patrick’s Day shirt of the season! Isn’t it cute? And you can get it HERE!

This cake is what my dreams are made up of! And it looks quick enough that you could whip one up for St. Patrick’s Day.

Those cupcakes are beautiful and intricately done! I also like the multi layer cake that looked like a color spectrum. Oh, this is making me hungry! We’re not celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in our country though, but I’m familiar of it through stories and materials I’ve read.

I would love to see your color spectrum cake if you want to leave a link! I think they look beautiful! I hope you find a reason to make some of these treats soon!

any time that there are cupcakes involved (or any kind of food involved) – well, that’s always a good thing 🙂
I agree 100%, Andrea!
What is that, a cupcake? The second one? No, it is a cake… BEAUTIFUL COLORS! See you around, need to find food. HUNGRY! 🙂
That’s the best compliment you could give me that you leave hungry! That cake certainly is my favorite!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Glad I could help!
Hi Alison,
Happy St. Patrick’s day! The cup cakes and green cake looks delicious and something to die for!
Definitely worth it! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I love the camaraderie, exuberant celebrations and parades that go on on Saint Patrick’s Day and the color green appears on everything. It is a lot of fun and I’ll gladly have a slice of that cake too.
I agree! I love any holiday that promotes fun! 🙂
Happy St Patrick Alison 🙂
I admire you and your talent (of cooking)!
I really need to improve mine 🙂
Thanks, Florence! I always am looking to improve my cooking, too! I find I get in a rut often and there is always room for improvement!
I didn’t know people celebrated with green pancakes for breakfast! Why have I never tried that?! I love the look of that green layer cake! Not sure I could replicate though..
It doesn’t look that hard to replicate but I know there is some work involved! 🙂 And yes, green pancakes are the best!
I LOVE your blog and its colors. Very inviting. 🙂 And this post is just so yummy and fun. I have to find an excuse to try those cupcakes. Maybe for Mother’s Day for my mom who is so beautiful and magical. Bookmarking this post.
Thanks, Ty! I think Friday is all the excuse I need for cupcakes! 🙂
“These cupcakes are the perfect way to find the way to the end of the rainbow!” – I definitely agree. The cupcake is so gorgeous and it looks delectable too. I love your site! 🙂

I agree, Alex!
Reading your posts make me hungry and envious. I would love to bake something so pretty but mine would be a fail
No, you would be great! The hardest part about cooking is starting!
Nice! A cupcake within a cupcake surrounded by a rainbow. How can you lose?
You can’t, right? 🙂
You got it Tony, thanks!!!!
These will convert even the most diehard no sweet eating persons
I love cupcakes and those rainbow cupcakes looks awesome!! Its a lot of fun!!
These are lovely ideas. St. Patrick’s day is my birthday so we celebrate that rather than actually St. Patrick’s day. Although I mihgt make a green cake next year
That’s a great idea to have a green cake but I agree birthdays trump St. Patrick’s Day!
That green cake though is the perfect way to celebrate it!
I agree Gecca, it’s awesome!!!!
Yummy looking and beautiful cupcakes and cake.
Thanks so much Angela!
I haven’t done many St.Patrick’s Desserts. Mostly it’s all about different takes on Corn Beef or Shepard’s Pie. With a Guinness of course. thanks for sharing!
Hope you had a good one Brooke!
Being in Southeast Asia, we don’t really have an awareness of St. Patrick’s Day. Still, great to learn more about it 🙂
Thanks Sam!
St. Patricks Day is a very fun holiday. I love the festive cupcakes!
That’s what it’s all about!
