Maple Walnut White Chocolate Chip Cookies
Congratulations to Molly Deere of Maryville, OH. She is the $5,000 Grand Prize Winner of “Mix it Up With Betty” 2010.
Each Tuesday I make a treat for a couple of Boy Scouts we work with. They are hungry, needing an after-school treat. I thought this would be a tasty fit with a glass of cold milk today. Molly’s yummy, maple-nut recipe is autumn perfect, on my honor!

Maple Walnut White Chocolate Chip Cookies are an easy fix with Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix. Combine cookie mix, butter, egg and maple flavoring…
add vanilla chips and chopped nuts.
Using a cookie scoop, place 12 scoops on a bake sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 13-14 minutes…this picture is dedicated to my friend Kris!
Golden and fragrant, I made 32 cookies and only a few are left!

Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, maple flavor and egg until soft dough forms. Stir in baking chips and walnuts. Using small cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 13 to 14 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to wire rack. Cool completely. Store covered at room temperature. Makes 32 cookies.
Semisweet, dark or milk chocolate chips can be used in place of the white vanilla baking chips.
Using a cookie scoop makes quick work of dropping the cookie dough. It also ensures cookies will be the same size and will bake the same length of time.
