Cheers! Grilling Secrets

Flank steak is one of my favorite grilling meats and this Dry-Rubbed Flank Steak with Grilled Corn Salsa is one of the most flavorful recipes I have ever seen!

Imagine Grilled Marinated Chicken with Tropical Salsa on your dinner table tonight?  Yep, it’s a happy sight!

When I am grilling fish or chicken I use Cedar Grilling Planks – 12 Pack.  It brings such a great flavor and smells incredible!  This also works for veggies, too!

Grilled Parmesan Garlic Asparagus is so good even your kids will eat it!  And if they don’t, I will!

My #1 Grilling Secret – A Clean Grill.

You can never get a nice char on your food if there are still remnants leftover on the grill.  Start out clean and clean up when you are done.  I use this two things to clean my grill and it is the secret for the BEST grilled food!

The kitchen is definitely my favorite place in any home. I love cooking but I also love how it brings people together. Although we lived in different cities growing up, I consider Sugar City, Idaho to be my hometown. Now, my husband and I live in Meridian, Idaho with our three not-so-little kids. My life is filled with good food, friends, and family—and it’s even better when I can find a great deal!

that grill cleaner spray looks good… and yes, I can get that to get an awesome grill, you’ll need a clean canvas, just like when making drawings or paintings. 🙂 I do wonder though, have you tried out other grill cleaner sprays out in the market? which of them would you recommend if the weber grate grill cleaner is not readily available? 🙂

I think you can use any of the grill cleaners that they offer. I would just look for one that is food grade so you don’t have to worry about the chemicals getting into your food. Most of them out there are already foodgrade though. I have used a couple generic ones and they work okay. If you don’t have any options, I would clean it well with a brush or some foil balled up and then add vegetable oil onto the grill before it is hot. It helps it stay clean and also keeps your food from sticking. If you do that before and after every time you grill, your grill will stay clean.

Thanks for the tip on how to keep your grill clean. I tend to let the grime and grit build up. With the Weber grill cleaner, I can clean it each time that I grill. I appreciate your tip!
