Spring has sprung!  Well, at times it feels as if the weather hasn’t caught up with the seasons quite yet!  But in my mind, I am wandering around in fields of flowers wearing a flowy sundress.

That’s everyone’s spring dream day, isn’t it?

Even if that isn’t your idea of a perfect day check out my favorite spring inspired food, clothes and even the cutest rain boots to celebrate that Spring is here to stay!

If you want a perfect and light dish this season these Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls are it!  They even show you how to make the peanut dipping sauce.  They are delicious but they also look so impressive!

Swimming suit cover up

I know it is not quite summer but I feel like this is when you NEED to have a Fun Vibrant Swimming Suit Cover-Up!  Then you can join in on the fun but still be covered up if the water is too cold to swim in.  For $15.99 (was $30) this is a bargain, too!

See them HERE!

This Eton Mess Cake shouts spring from all sides and layers with the fresh berries and white  sweetened cream.  You can’t resist this cake!

I always feel like I want/need a boot I can wear out in the rain or in the garden.  Look at how many colors and styles there are, too!

The kitchen is definitely my favorite place in any home. I love cooking but I also love how it brings people together. Although we lived in different cities growing up, I consider Sugar City, Idaho to be my hometown. Now, my husband and I live in Meridian, Idaho with our three not-so-little kids. My life is filled with good food, friends, and family—and it’s even better when I can find a great deal!

I just set up my new outdoor table and chairs so that I can sit outside while my kids play. I am also excited to get my garden planted again! Happy spring!

From someone who lives in a tropical country, I could only imagine what it’s like to live in four seasons. Sure, I have seen all four seasons from travels but never living for extended times.

I have an idea. If spring is great, then everyday should be spring!

    Cheers!

    Hi Alison,

I love Spring and fortunate to stay in Florida and enjoy this awesome weather. I loved the polka dotted boots, perfect for this season.

You need those cute boots too! Rain or snow I wear them, and for summer I tuck a glass of water inside and add a few cut flowers.

It’s always the worst when you want spring to be here and there is snow on the ground! Hopefully it melts soon!

I wonder how Spring feels like. Must be the perfect season? We only have two seasons in the Philippines and it’s summertime now. I love the beach but really hates the scorching heat.

Your fresh shrimp spring rolls make me want to brave the summer heat and head over to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant!

I’m from the Philippines, but I have experienced spring in western countries and it is such a beautiful and happy time, with perfect weather. I love those spring rolls, they would fit the season perfectly. So light, delicious, and I think even healthy! As for the cover ups, that is definitely an essential! They are part of spring summer fashion, and you need to look great even when you’re out of the water just lounging around. That Eton Mess is gorgeous! Almost too pretty to eat!

I would love to try the spring rolls, with that amazing peanut dipping sauce. I have tried it while I was in Vietnam but since then I couldn’t find it anywhere. Thanks for the recipe! 🙂

I just learned today that Vietnam has 4 seasons & I was bummed out because my country is just a couple of hours away from Vietnam & we don’t have 4 seasons. I loooove SPRING – the vibe & the colors. People also seem to be a lot more cheerful in Spring, at least that’s why I’ve experienced in other countries. For the food, I am totally digging those fresh spring rolls – they’re one of my favorite dishes.

Welcoming spring is really an exciting and worth waiting experience, especially when you see snow almost all year round. It’s great to wear your sunnies, to take care of your garden and seeing the trees and flowers bloom.
