Homemade Whipped Honey Butter
I love to whip up a batch of honey butter often and share it with family and friends. I’m often asked what makes mine different? There are a few things that are essential when making homemade honey butter and one secret ingredient that makes all the difference!
First off, always use real butter, that’s all, nothin’ else will do. Next, whip it with an electric hand mixer till it’s really fluffy.
Second, about flavorings, sometimes I add the cinnamon and sometimes I don’t. You can add fresh berries, strawberry chunks, or peaches instead of cinnamon. Have fun and make it your own.
Finally, drum roll please, what makes ours different, it’s whipped topping. It stabilizes your homemade whipped honey butter it and holds it all together. Others separate, mine stays creamy and lasts. I think you’re going to love it too!
In a mixing bowl, using the whisk attachment on your stand mixer, or using a hand mixer, whip the butter so it’s nice and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar and mix it all in. Then add the honey, cinnamon, and vanilla, or try omitting the cinnamon and add ripe, fresh fruit chunks. Mix well. Add the whipped topping and mix well. Store in the fridge or at room temperature, if using soon. Serve at room temperature.
