My Favorite Easy Cornbread Recipe

Perfectly moist, a tender crumb, with bits of corn, My Favorite Easy Cornbread Recipe will feed a crowd in short order.  If you’re lucky enough to have any remaining, it will taste just as good.  You’ll find no day-old stale cornbread from these ingredients. Mix it up, bake and serve along side chili, soups, and stews all winter and beside a crisp cool salad in the summer.  It’s delicious year-round fare!

My Favorite Easy Cornbread Recipe

For years I searched for a great cornbread recipe that my husband and kids would like.  I would make a lovely looking pan of cornbread and here, “it’s too dry.”  My Favorite Easy Cornbread Recipe has a cake-like consistency and reminds my husband of how corn fritters taste. It’s my go to recipe because it’s so easy to make.

Seriously, it’s all measured out for you, so lets get started!  Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grab a large mixing bowl, a cake mix, and a couple of boxed cornbread mix. Combine the cake mix and cornbread mixes, add the eggs, water, milk, and oil and mix well. Stir in the drained corn.

Spray a large 4 quart baking  dish with Baker’s Joy, the best baking spray around, try it, you’ll like it. Place in the oven and bake for approximately 35 minutes. Be sure to do the toothpick test as it make a few extra minutes, remember not all ovens are the same.
